The Annual Division I Minnesota State American Legion Baseball Championship Tournament is being hosted by Chaska, Minnesota, Friday, August 3, 2012 through Monday, August 6, 2012.
Team check-in will take place on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the the following location, which is also the hotel at which qualifying out-of-town team players and coaches will be housed:
Best Western Plus / Chaska River Inn & Suites
1 River Bend Place, Chaska, MN 55318-3302
952-448-7877Teams must arrive between 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Members of the State American Legion Baseball Committee and the Chaska Host Commitee will be present at the main entrance to help direct teams to the designated areas. (Teams needing a place to change from their uniforms afterwards -- into proper attire for the banquet -- will be able to use the lower level of Chaska American Legion Post 57, which is located a few blocks north of the hotel at 102 West 4th Street, Chaska 55318.)
Photograph ordering information will also be provided at that time. In addition, team photographs may be ordered after-the-fact from Linhoff Photography.
The annual banquet will be held that evening (Thursday, August 2nd) at Chaska High School (545 Pioneer Trail, Chaska, 55318) Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner and program beginning at 7 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be Tom Kelly -- former Manager of the Minnesota Twins. Master of Ceremonies for this event will be Marney Gellner, of Fox Sports North TV.

Banquet Ticket Ordering Site
The deadline for purchasing tickets on-line is Wednesday, August 1st.A limited number of tickets (at $35.00 each) will be available for purchase on the day of the event (cash transactions only).
With respect to lodging, families, friends, and fans who wish to book rooms in the area may contact the Best Western Plus / Chaska River Inn & Suites. However, there is no guarantee that rooms will be available for anyone other than the teams who qualify to be housed. There are many other hotels/motels in the surrounding area, however, including in nearby Shakopee and Chanhassen.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to road construction in the area, it is very likely that Highway 5 from Victoria and East to High 41 will be under construction. If you will be arriving from the west or northwest part of the state, it is suggested that you bypass this stretch of road and use Highway 7 (north of Highway 5) to go South on Highway 41 to Chaska.
