2012 Player Registration Information
Players born on or after January 1, 1993 (including HS graduates), and who attend(ed) St. Anthony Village High School, are eligible to register and tryout for Tri-City Blue. Players who attend other high schools may also be eligible, depending upon the location of their permanent home address and/or the proximity of other Legion teams to their home address/school. We, of course, welcome eligible players from schools other than St. Anthony to register and try out with Tri-City Blue! (Due to the complexitites with American Legion Baseball rostering rules, to confirm eligibility in such cases, please contact us, providing school of attendnace and permanent address.)
Those interested in trying out for Tri-City Blue must first complete a 2012 registration form (printable, for completion). Instructions for its submittal, as well as further information about registraton and tryouts, are contained in the registration form itself.
General information about American Legion Baseball player eligibility and rostering rules, as well as contact info for other area Legion Baseball teams, is available here.
Tri-City Blue Welcomes Kyle Foster and Troy Urdahl
Effective with the 2012 season, Tri-City Blue is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Foster as Head Coach. After a very successful career with Hamline University in St. Paul (where he earned several MIAC honors as a starting pitcher from 2004-2007), Kyle signed wtih the St. Paul Saints and began his professional career in 2008. His contract was soon purchased by the Boston Red Sox (June 2008), and he was assigned to the Greenville Drive (Single A, South Atlantic league). After release from the Red Sox in 2009, he returned to the St. Paul Saints, continuing his career there through 2011. While in college and as a professional, Kyle also shared his expertise with area youth, by serving as an assistant coach with high school and youth teams. Also effective with the 2012 season, Troy Urdahl, Head Coach at St. Anthony Village High School, takes over the reins as Team Manager. We welcome Kyle and Troy to Tri-City Blue, and look forward to a productive and beneficial relationship for the benefit of ourarea players.
