Maroon Team Gains New Coach for
2007
After having Jeff Larsen at
its helm for the first week, Maroon got a new Head Coach, Collin
Borgos, on June 11th -- AND, he celebrated his first victory as
Maroon Coach, when he and his team defeated Coon Rapids 10-4.

| Coach's Game Notes: | The boys played an all around great game. They were patient at the plate and when they spotted their pitch, they hit the ball hard. We scored 3 runs in the first and were held scoreless in only one inning. The were a few times that we could have lost the lead in the first few innings. CR scored 1 in the first and starter Aaron Page had the bases loaded, but gathered himself and got out of the inning. Mike Demarias pitched the final 3 innings and both pitchers had great stuff. Catcher Adam Valley reached base each time he was up, and centerfielder Brian Dillion had a good game, both defensively (diving catch) and offensively, reaching a few times -- once on a triple. | ||||||
